Out the door at 6:30 shooting for Deming, NM. It's a cool misty 65 and we slip on our rain jackets to start but we expect to become pieces of human jerky as temperatures are supposed to be close to 100 this afternoon in NM.As we have headed further west the vegetation has certainly become more sparse and their ain't a lot of folks around either. We had to stop at an immigration check point. I guess they buy my gringo routine and thought either I had someone stuffed in the trailer or that Connie was one of them dancin' honeys from Ciudad Juarez. I mean, after all, what self-respecting American gal would be riding buck .... well you get the idea. You can never get enough sun.
Oh yea, Connie reminded me (a-freakin'-gain) that she has been kickin' my butt in Yahtzee. I have probably offended Tonto's spirit in some way. I actually got 99 in one game. you get 98 for just showin' up.
Hey, speaking of Tonto, the scenery is right out of the Lone Ranger. I was waiting for that half-baked, half-masked ol' Kemosabe trot right up next to me.
